A joyous reunion in small-town Georgia turns into an unexpected nightmare when Madea, Joe, Aunt Bam, and other family members gather for an anniversary party that turns out to be a sham. Instead of fun and relaxation, Madea and the gang soon find themselves attending an elaborate funeral that doesn’t quite go according to plan.
The review has SPOILERS.
I’ve been so excited to write my review on this movie since I went to see it on March 17 for my anniversary. If you love watching Tyler Perry’s Medea movies, this movie is for you. I wouldn’t even know where to start when it comes to telling you about this movie. Well, okay, I will say this. GO TO THE BATHROOM BEFORE THE PREVIEWS IS OVER. Why? Because the movie is so good, you don’t want to miss it when you have to leave to go to the bathroom. Now, Sadly, this is the last Madea that is going to be made from my understanding so I can finally say I got to watch one Madea movie while it was playing in the showhouse.
When you first get into the movie, you find out a little about the family and find out it’s an anniversary party for a couple and their children are doing it for them. From the start, when we find out that Carol dislikes her brother-in-law’s girlfriend, I knew from that moment that her husband has to be sleeping with her and be damned if I wasn’t right. I went what the fuck loudly when I saw it. But, I’m not going to give away anything else after that. I will say this, by the time we get to where we see Medea, Bam, Joe, and Hattie, we’re already laughing because of Joe and Madea’s brother Heathrow.
Once you get that laughing going, you only get a few moments of where you can stop and can get yourself together but then right when you think you got it together, you’re watching Madea knock the hell out of Hattie and Joe in the hospital and you’re just sitting there in tears crying from laughing so hard. I was dying from laughing and crying just watching this movie and I loved it. This movie is WORTH every penny I put into getting my movie ticket. I hated that I missed about a minute or two because I stupidly had to go to the bathroom towards the last ten minutes of the movie but I already knew that it was most liking going to be AJ’s sorry ass apologizing to Carol.
Should you go see this movie? HELL TO THE YES!
